Introduce your channel to new nature-loving viewers
while letting more people experience the places you go like they're there

Pangea is a feedback collection app for outdoors and nature-loving companies that has changed surveys into immersive video walks to surprise views.
We're seeking point-of-view videos filmed by Youtube creators to feature in surveys, and in exchange are offering a paid opportunity that will allow more people to find your channel so it can grow.
The Power of Adventure and Curiosity
You know that feeling when you're on a trail and you see a great view peaking through the trees up ahead?
This feeling of wanting to see what's around the corner
is what we flow with to make something fun that we've all wanted to avoid up until now:
Surveys.
We feature walking videos like this:
After opening a survey link, people choose the environment they want to explore
And are then transported somewhere in nature as your video plays.
After answering each question, they get to see more of what's ahead
Until they arrive at a surprise viewpoint.
Here, they see your Youtube channel name and profile pic, one of your videos playing, and can click to visit your channel.
Now, people actually want to do surveys,
companies get the insights that can make a massive impact,
and you can reach viewers who'd love your content.
Why
We want to help people explore our amazing planet and connect with nature
while solving the big, practical problem of surveys so we can connect with and learn from each other.
We want to express our gratitude for your help in this by offering a way to support you as you also share special places with people,
inspiring the spirit of adventure and a love for nature.
Our Offer to Youtube Creators
Submit a video you've filmed from your eye-view while walking to a great viewpoint; no editing or complicated technique required. If it's selected to be used for surveys, you'll be invited to sign a Content Agreement License that allows us to include your video. You'll then receive:
$100 (USD) payment up-front
Spotlight Promotion of Your Youtube Channel + Links for Direct Traffic
In addition to seeing your channel name during surveys using your video, at the end viewers will see:
Your channel name and profile picture
A video clip of your creative work playing (could be one you've posted on Youtube or a channel trailer compilation)
Direct links to your channel so they can subscribe and watch
Note: Promotional exposure will occur once we've onboarded companies and they begin sending out surveys. We are currently pre-launch.
The showcase screen of the app's first version looks like this:

This gives you a chance to have the focused attention of potential subscribers and make a direct link to your channel available to them.
These viewers are customers of outdoors and nature-loving brands, making them an aligned match for your content.

Our Guarantee to You:
You can feel confident in how you're represented:
We understand it may feel uncomfortable to allow editing of your footage, even if were stating it will seek to be undetectable. To support your confidence in how you’re represented, your video will be sent back to you for your review and approval before being featured. This is something we want to offer right now even though were not contractually obligated to do so, and may change in future once we're able to provide reference examples of edited videos for creators to see.
We require unedited submissions and editing permission so that we can ensure a consistent, optimized viewing experience while saving you the trouble of editing requests. We seek to apply editing undetectably and only when necessary, keeping things as they'd be seen outside.
You own every video you send to us, you just give us permission to feature it.
If you'd like to revoke the license, we will work with you on that: Even though you've granted us a permanent content license, we can discuss setting up a separate agreement to end the license.
You won't run into any copyright issues even if your videos are published on Youtube and/or other places because you maintain ownership and we don't ask for exclusive use.
Questions You Might Have
Filming Guidelines
Here's an overview of the technical and content requirements for submitted footage. You'll also be able to review these during the submission process:
Footage Purpose
Videos used in Pangea surveys take viewers on walks through forest, mountain, or tropical environments to a beautiful final viewpoint. The goal is to make viewers feel as if they’re walking the trail themselves. We want this to be easy to film and submit.
Technical Guidelines
Camera: DSLR or mirrorless preferred, however high-performing smartphones accepted (approved models include iPhone 13 Pro or newer; Google Pixel 7 or newer; Samsung Galaxy S22 / S23 / S24 series)
Lens: Standard or moderate wide-angle (~24–50mm)
Orientation: Landscape (16:9)
Resolution: Minimum 1080p (Full HD)
Frame Rate: 24–30 fps
Camera Position: Close to eye level, centered on direction of travel
Stabilization: Walking at a natural pace; Slight bobbing welcome for natural walking effect. Gimbal use optional
Lighting: Natural daylight
Length: 2–30 minutes
File Format: .MP4 or .MOV
Raw footage only (video and audio unedited; we will add any required accreditation, such as your channel name)
Content Guidelines for Environment Categories
The following notes are meant to clarify what we’re looking for in each environment category and how to best support final-view anticipation and immersion.
Forest: There are so many types of beautiful end views you could bring viewers to here (ie. a waterfall, river, beach, a view from some elevation); just ensure the walk to the final view is through a forested area.
Mountains: Forested sections throughout the journey are welcome, it just requires a final mountain viewpoint.
Tropical: Reserve open beach views or other beautiful views for the final viewpoint in order to build anticipation.
Avoid frequently twisting trails for visual comfort
Additional Filming Guidelines
Final View:
Film the final view from a standstill
A slow pan is accepted to capture great views, keep minimal
End by filming in a single direction for at least 10 seconds (This footage will be subtly looped at the end of the survey, so longer shots are not necessary, although they're welcome)
In short: arrive and stop, film the view, and you’re done.Occasional people appearing in the footage is fine; please avoid people in the final view
Submission Formats
You’re welcome to submit footage in either format:
One Take: Film from start to final view in one take
Clip Compilation: A cohesive sequence of your favorite segments from a longer walk
Audio Guidelines
Submit video with original, unedited audio
Don’t let audio quality prevent submission — we’ll do our best to make it work!
Audio may be edited to enhance quality or reduce disruptive sounds, such as high wind, or very heavy footsteps or breathing (we don’t blame you— you could be hiking some serious terrain!). All editing seeks to preserve the originally captured audio and an authentic, environmentally-aligned listening experience.
Tips for cleaner audio:
Wind mufflers
Shotgun microphones
Wireless lav mics
The offer in a nutshell:
Next time your heading somewhere beautiful, film while you walk to a great view and submit the raw video.
If accepted, we'll pay you $100 after the Content License Agreement is signed
and invite survey respondents to checkout your channel once we launch.
